My Story

  • The short story- I was my fathers shadow since I was a small girl. I would wear a dress and be completely dirty. My father was a body and frame man and he taught me to paint cars by the time I was 13 years old. At 17, he threw me a transmission manual for a 700R4 transmission for our taxi fleet vehicles, and the first one I built from a book worked. YouTube wasn’t invented yet! I could build a transmission before I learned how to do a brake job.

In the years ahead, I built hundreds of transmissions for Chevys and Fords- and Toyota’s. I grew up in the taxi business and fleet repair was my calling. As time went on, I learned to repair everything from bumper to bumper on fleet cars that had up to 500k miles going though safety inspections and emissions. Building Ford differentials was also my specialty.

My true love is 1950-60’s vintage cars- particularly General Motors. Wiring vehicles I also have fun with…sort of 😂

In today’s world, I’m excellent at diagnosing late model vehicles which I work with daily, at Wicked Wrench Co. I get to talk to my customers and learn about all the new technology coming into the shop. I help mentor students from our local community college to become future Techs.

  • I own a 1962 Pontiac Bonneville 2 door hardtop- named “The Chief”. It was red and didn’t shine. Once I started stripping the paint it ended up being a show car build, which ended up on the Lowrider Magazine tour and World of Wheels Shows from 1997-2002. I had sponsors from LA wire wheels and Showtime Hydraulics. I have a room full of trophies for this car. <I still have my hydraulic setup tucked away>

Yes, I still have the car. I will post videos of it soon, with a slight makeover.

I also did photoshoots with cars for Lowrider Magazine, Street Customs Magazine and Lowrider Euro Magazine, as you can see in my pictures section of this website.
